Cold sheet-metal stamping as one of the progressive methods is widely used in modern instrument engineering and other branches of the metalworking industry. Stamping processes provide accurate, complex-shaped and various-sized parts with a high material utilization rate, minimal labor intensity and low cost. In cold stamping production, a large number of dies are used, and there is a tendency towards an increase in the complexity of their designs, due to the emergence of new progressive stamping processes. In this regard, there is a need for the use of rational designs of stamps, the calculation methods of which, based on the foundations of the applied theory of plasticity, do not require a solid mathematical tool and are intended for use in everyday engineering technology and practice. The article presents a description of the design of a die for stretching the capacitor body and its parts, which ensure efficient stamping. The methodology for calculating specific stamping operations, which is necessary for the development of technological processes for stamping the capacitor body, is described. The idea of creating a production of capacitor bodies made of tantalum at the production facilities of the Altai region has been put forward.
