The article describes the technology of formation of professional competence at students of engineering specialties. There are three block technology: procedural and conceptual. In a procedural block defines the organization of training activities, describes methods means and forms through which the formation of the information component of professional competence. Highlights the stages of development of the professional component in the study of discipline "Higher mathematics".
