In article new directions in technology of reception the strengthening detonation coverings, developed in SamGTU are described. Results of metal-physical and tribotechnical researches of strengthening nanostructured composite coverings put in the detonation way are resulted. It is shown that composite ceramic-metal coverings on the basis of tungsten carbide and aluminum oxide possess nano-size structural components and have the raised operational properties. It is shown that introduction in sprayed powder particles of ultradisperse diamonds allows to raise abrasive firmness of coverings essentially.
