Metal type manufacturing technology and printing in medieval Korea

The article is devoted to the contribution of medieval Korea to the world printing history. The aim of this work is to examine the technological aspect of medieval Korean printing, in particular, the type manufacturing process and the composition of alloys used. Based on the analysis of these factors, the conclusions are drawn that the level of the technological development of printing in Korea in the Middle Ages successfully competed with China and Europe.
