This article focuses on one of the topical problems of modern pedagogy and methods of teaching literature - the use of problem-based learning in teaching practice of the teacher. The purpose of this article is to show the effectiveness of the technology of problem-based learning. Problem-based learning promotes the development of cognitive, communicative and creative activity of students, formation of student's personality, his readiness to use the acquired knowledge and skills in real life to solve practical problems.
