Nowadays digital technologies have become integral assistants in the organization of the educational process. Both illustrative and interactive presentations are created to accompany the course of the lesson and help in achieving the tasks set, interactive sheets of reference signals, games, quizzes, exercises of various types and levels of complexity, simulators, etc. are being developed. The article proposes an algorithmized sequence of creating a simulator lesson based on an activity-type educational technology for the development of students' productive reading skills. Microsoft PowerPoint and iSpring Suite programs are offered as digital tools.
