The article examines the application experience of methods and ways of the ‘Critical thinking development through reading and writing’ technology in the history and social science lesson. The author presents the examples of tasks on different topics of the subjects, developing the ability to work with different sources of information, to analyse acquired knowledge, to make data conversion and to present the learning results in different forms. All suggested tasks allow to form critical thinking of the secondary vocational institutions students.
