The Japan Sea Link of the West Pacific Continent - Ocean Transitional Megazone, including Japan marginal sea, is known for its exclusively high seismic activity. As a result of the joint analysis of geologic-geophysical, morphostructure and seismological data, the authors have for the first time identified the monitoring of seismically active zones: 1) Japan Sea vortex structure, 2) systems of the long-lived mantle faults and 3) the Cenozoic basalt volcanic edifices. These data should be considered when forecasting seismic active zones in the West-Pacific marginal seas.
