Current monetary policy and fundamental problems of development of the Russian banking system

The author examines the current and fundamental questions of the Russian monetary system, in particular, the main systemic problems of the banking sector - underdeveloped commercial lending, lack of full competition and the division of banks into commercial and investment, expressed doubts about the effectiveness of the actions of the Russian Federation Central Bank, aimed at combating inflation, and shows that such measures could lead to a result contrary to that expected.
