Theme of science in the novel by Ch. Tsydendambaev «Away from the native land»

The article analyses the science theme in the novel by Buryat writer Ch. Tsydendambaev «Away from the native land» which tells about the first European educated Buryat scientist Dorzhi Banzarov. Images of scientists occupy a prominent place in the novel. The writer has achieved special artistic persuasion in creating the image of N. I. Lobachevsky. The main hero of the novel, senior year student of Kazan university Dorzhi Banzarov shown relatively fully as a patriot of Russia and devoted son of the native people, to a lesser degree he is shown as a researcher. The process of scientific creativity in the novel is often depicted in a pathetic way. This is due to the novelty of the science theme for Buryat novel. Nonetheless, despite significant shortcomings the first practice of it's development proved to be successful. The type of a professional scientist has been emerged in Buryat literature. The development of the science theme became an achievement of novel thinking, an evidence of quality growth of the national literature.
