The theme of family in the images of modern Russian and English caricatures (2017-2021)

The present article examines the image of the family represented in Russian and English caricatures of recent years. National and universal cultural values are described, which served as the basis for the emergence of family and domestic situations, which became the subject of this kind of images. The material for the study was modern Russian and English caricatures, freely available on the Internet, created between 2017 and 2021. The conceptual analysis of the Russian and English family images showed that their content directly depends on folk and historical traditions, the specifics of mentality, the worldview picture. Despite the transformations of the value sphere taking place in the global space at the present time, the tradition of axiological national attitudes concerning the family sphere of life and represented in the visual satirical genre has been revealed. The key evidence is that the images of the family in English and Russian caricatures are similar, but their textual component is different, as it is determined by the national picture of the world.
