Temporal-causal complex sentences in Alutor dialects

Бесплатный доступ

The paper examines three types of temporal-causal complex sentences in the Alutor language: with initial temporal semantics, with initial causal semantics and with original temporal-causal semantics. In first two types of constructions temporal and causal meaning makes contamination if dependent or main predicates are of certain semantic classes, or if both main and dependent events are potential. Constructions of the third type always have complex semantics, and they also express the Alutor speakers' social norms of behaviour.
