The paper made attempt to identify trends in raising the corporate culture of small businesses and the prospects for enhancing the standing of a Russian enterprise to the major market player expected to be the upgrading sector of Russian national economy. The study showed the agents of traditional community disposed to reducing contacts with the outer environment, including steps at the expense of technology and entailing economic backwardness. The paper also has shown the way a small business gave rise to albeit slight "points of increase" giving rise to the innovative economy sector.
