Trends and problems of implementing the principles of sustainable development and responsible investment

The socio-economic development of modern society, the understanding of its directions, as well as the awareness of its priorities, has formed the need for new responsible approaches in the management of economic systems at the national and international levels. Initiatives in the field of climate and environmental risk management have served as the basis for the creation and recognition at the international level of ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) standards for sustainable development. The implementation of ESG principles has become a state task in many of the countries that have joined. Geopolitical processes and sanctions regimes in 2022, at first glance, distracted from the implementation of sustainable development tasks. At the same time, the tasks of transformation of the national economy of Russia, considering the need to ensure and strengthen sovereignty in the new conditions of restrictions, it is advisable to solve on the basis of the principles of sustainable development, while maintaining significant priorities of socio-economic development.
