Trends and possibilities for development of the labor market of the Russian Federation

The article analyzes contemporary trends in the Russian labor market. It is noted that the issue of employment becomes an integral part of the daily lives of Russian citizens. Analysis covers theoretical aspects of population employment and the labor market, along with a review of key statistical indicators characterizing the labor market and employment in Russia in the conditions of modern geopolitical instability and sanction constraints. Conclusions are drawn that the primary goal of government employment policy is to create favorable conditions for population employment and to provide enterprises with qualified labor resources. This is achieved through economic stabilization, improving the quality and competitiveness of the workforce, developing personnel training systems, addressing the issue of a shortage of skilled professionals, and controlling labor migration.
