The article examines the changes in the suicide rate under the influence of daily activities. The method that is used for the study of daily activities is time budget. The object of the research is employees (men and women) of working age. Following the results of the correlation and regression data analysis of 73 Russian regions for 2019, a «core» of the hierarchy of household and leisure activities that significantly influence the suicide rate was made specific; stable subject-specific regression models of the suicide rate dependence on daily activities were made; the models take into account time allocation during working days and weekends. It was established that the universal suicide risk factor for employed men and women is the average time spent on household activities per working day and per day off, respectively. The average time spent on household activities per working day is a suicide risk factor for employed men, and the average time spent on household activities per day off is a factor of suicide risk reduction. The average time spent on attending culture and entertainment and sports events/facilities and average time per working day spent on working in corporations, state administrative bodies and non-profit organizations are factors of suicide risk reduction for employed women. On the basis of regression models the priorities of social policy were suggested - variants of time allocation aimed at minimizing the suicide rate. It is shown that a possible shift to a four-day working week with an increase in the working hours while maintaining weekly hours will not significantly influence the suicide rate on overage per working day irrespective of the gender. At the same time, this shift will add another day off with an unknown allocation of time, which generates uncertainty and requires additional research.
