Trends in energy cooperation between Russia and China

The period 2014-2023 is characterized by the intensive development of Russian-Chinese energy cooperation as the main segment of economic cooperation between the two countries. The article examines the main trends of Russian-Chinese relations in the energy sector, highlights the key areas and subjects of interaction. Attention is paid to the interests of the two countries in the implementation of joint energy projects. Based on the analysis of various sources, the author came to the conclusion that cooperation between Russia and China is built on complementarity in the energy sector, which makes the parties, despite the existing risks and challenges, reliable strategic partners.
