Interregional labour migration trends in the Southern federal district

Labor migrations are extremely important factor exerting serious impact on social and economic, social and political, confessional, social and demographic and socio-cultural development of the territory, which is, influenced consequences of movements of statistically significant mass of the population. In the present Russian reality complicated by extremely difficult and ambiguous social and economic situation, and which is characterized by freezing of wages indexation, pensions, grants and other social payments, reducing workplaces, reduction of demand in the market of labor power - favorable conditions for an intensification of interregional labor migrations to more developed, social, and safe regions are created. One of them is the Southern Federal District. Various factors, including, higher cash income in comparison with neighbors, a significant average monthly salary and other criteria determine its attractiveness for migrants. However, the fixed interregional labor migrations involving hundreds of thousands of people create various social, medical, transport and infrastructure problems and inconveniences. Only further work on smoothing of a social and economic inequality in development of subjects of the Southern Federal District, creation of new workplaces, development of the regional programs directed to attraction of the population to implementation of a labor activity in the district and the subject can be an exit from the current situation.
