Trends in social development and generational change in the philosophy of education: Ukrainian context

The article is devoted to the analysis of two generations of the philosophy of education in Ukraine, which determined the main achievements in the field of philosophy of education of Ukraine, respectively, in the 1980-1990s and 2000-2010s. The generational concept of William Strauss and Neil Howe was used as a methodology. The main distinguishing features of both generations, as well as the patterns of deployment of their activities, are revealed. The analysis of the general relationship between the development of the state of Ukraine, the educational system of Ukraine and the philosophy of education in Ukraine is carried out. A preliminary forecast has been made regarding the next generation of Ukrainian philosophers of education in accordance with the concept of Strauss and Howe.
