The article studies the state of the consumer market in modern Russia, determining the trends of its development depending on the implemented strategies of citizens' behavior in the face of the threat of spreading of a new coronavirus infection. It is noted that consumers are focused on health-saving products (hygiene products, cleanliness maintenance, sanitizers, medical equipment, etc.) and environmentally friendly food. The influence of information technologies on the sphere of consumption in the conditions of a pandemic is determined, the need to intensify the functioning of online trading platforms and services to increase the efficiency of interaction between market entities is emphasized. The high potential of e-commerce for the Russian consumer market is emphasized. The stability of demand for essential goods has been revealed, regardless of the level of complexity of the epidemiological situation. The expediency of a prospective study of the trends in the functioning of the consumer market in Russia in the post-pandemic period is noted.
