Trends in social adaptation of elderly family in the changing Russian society

The article points out the diversity of interpretations of the concept of “social adaptation”. The difference of approaches of foreign and domestic studies is shown. The problems and interests of elderly citizens are analyzed. The key factors contributing to the successful adaptation of this category of population are emphasized. The practical significance of the study in improving the perception of the dynamics of society for the development of social programs and policies aimed at supporting the adaptation of individuals and groups in various spheres of life.
