The article provides an overview of modern standards, techniques and practices in the field of information technology management. State standards, the model of J.A. Zachman, TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL, IT4IT standards are considered. Particular attention is paid to the changes that have appeared in their new versions. The conclusion is made about the most significant trends in the field of information technology management. The transition from detailed studies of each process to general concepts and principles that must be guided by the provision of IT services is revealed. It has been established that there is a selection of flows of value creation, which may include certain processes. The need to harmonize the goals and objectives of IT management with business plans is noted.
