Theoretical aspects of investment activity in the real estate market

This article reveals the essence of real estate investment and clarifies its tools. The article presents a systematization of the definition of the economic category "investment" from the point of view of the authors of fundamental research of this concept. The main forms of real estate are considered and analyzed: commercial and residential. The importance of housing affordability as one of the main factors of increasing investment activity in the housing investment market is substantiated.
