The theoretical aspects of research the regional banking system of Russia

The article is devoted to the study of the regional banking system in a transformational economy. There is a lack of development of the theoretical foundations of the study of the regional banking system, the underestimation of its importance for the Russian banking system, the economic development of the region and the national economy. The authors considered the concept of a regional banking system, defined the role and place of this system, as a holistic entity, in the system of economic relations.
