Theoretical aspects of the introduction of ecological innovations in the hospitality industry

This article focuses on energy conservation in hotels. Concern for the safety of people and the environment are an integral part of the modern tourism industry. Hotels, which adhere to the environmental principles, are of interest and in demand not only among the categories of tourists, related to the defenders of the environment. The author believes that the replacement of conventional incandescent light bulbs with energy saving lamps is the main measure for the introduction of ecological innovations in the material base of a hotel. The author examines the differences between energy-saving fluorescent lamp and classic. As well as the process of recycling energy-saving lamps are considered. Author concludes that the cost of interior lighting is 15% of the cost of hotel services. The former can be several-fold reduced (10-fold) due to the new innovative light source - LED lamps and induction. Their implement are inexpensive (only the cost of the purchase itself lamps). Accordingly, the efficiency of introducing innovative light sources is high enough.
