The article reveals the main theoretical, methodological and applied approaches to the formation and application of strategic management technologies. The possibilities and limitations of using basic models and tools of strategic management in the activities of small businesses are also determined. The thesis on the importance of strategic management for ensuring sustainable, safe and effective functioning of small businesses is substantiated.
