Theoretical and methodological aspects of assessing the quality of life of the population

Ensuring a decent quality of life for citizens requires the subjects of the Russian Federation to increase the efficiency of using the natural resource, economic, financial, social, and human resources potential of the territory, since it is the regional authorities that bear the main responsibility for the sustainable economic and social development of the region. In connection with the above, the study of issues of quality of life and the specifics of regional quality of life management is the most relevant. The purpose of the article is to evaluate theoretical and methodological approaches to assessing the quality of life of the population. In connection with this goal, it is necessary to solve a number of problems: to study theoretical approaches to the definition of "quality of life of the population" and to consider methodological approaches to assessing the quality of life of the population. The scientific novelty of the study is that its main provisions and conclusions can be used by regions to improve the quality of life of the population.
