Theoretical and normative problems of the educational standard for the legal support of national security

The article outlines the problems of excluding the word "professional" from the phrase "higher education", as well as issues of understanding the legal support of national security, qualification requirements for university teaching staff, universal, general professional and professional competencies. It is concluded that the federal state educational standard of higher education in the specialty 40.05.01 Legal support of national security should contain a professional orientation, have an official, normatively fixed definition of its name, take into account the qualification characteristics of the positions of specialists in higher professional education in the legal direction and scientific legal specialties , as well as to disclose universal, general professional and professional competencies in order to determine, specify and implement them in the educational process.
