Theoretic and practical aspects of the therapy and rehabilitation of inmates with drug dependence

This article described the number of theoretical and practical aspects of using of differential therapeutic and rehabilitation programs for drugdependent convicts in penitentiary institutions during long time. We examined some questions of correlation between criminal behaviour and drug dependence. In the process of therapy and rehabilitation of narcotism in penitentiary institutions we have a possibility to study clinic and pick out consecutive clinical dynamics of symptoms and syndromes on different states of narcotism remission. During these processes patients create the reason for necessity of giving drug using up and positive purpose to treatment. In fact we have the real alternative for «substitution therapy». We decide that it is a discussive question to inculcate a methadone program instead of number of therapy and rehabilitation programs which give a possibility of absolute refusal of drug, especially in penitentiary conditions.
