The article discusses the problem of effective staff motivation in small and medium-sized enterprises. The paper uses methods of analytical, comparative, graphical and statistical research. The main stages of the organization’s activities for the development and implementation of a system of motivation and incentive for employees in SMEs are indicated. The approaches to labor motivation relevant for SMEs are considered, within the framework of which the main tools of motivation of the creative class are identified.
