Theoretical foundations: correlation between romantic attachment styles and self-helplessness in adults

The attachment theory is being researched in a context of adult romantic relationships based on the child-parent relationship models along with the personal psychological features in the individuals. It is considered there are three adult romantic attachment styles: anxious, secure and avoidant. On other side, the personal psychological features are determined by the self-helplessness or, on contrary, by the self-independence in individuals. Both of the above phenomena have similarities which show the possible correlation between romantic attachment styles and self-helplessness in adults.
