The relevance of this study lies in the study of approaches to assortment management. This is necessary for companies to maintain their leading positions, look for ways to grow and increase their influence in the market. To do this, they need to increase their competitive advantages in terms of service quality, merchandising, and just in the breadth of the range offered. In this paper, the theoretical aspects of assortment formation in retailers are studied and an analysis of the DIY market is carried out.
