The article deals with the problems of small-scale business innovation project evaluation from the point of view of regional funding. The authors examine the role of small-scale innovation business in development of national economy, give the review of small-scale innovation business supporting programmes in the Chelyabinsk region, and develop the small-scale innovation business evaluation criteria system from the point of view of regional interests. In this article the authors define the requirements for the small-scale innovations business evaluation methods and compare multicriteria evaluation methods, the most appropriate to the specified requirements, namely: fuzzy set theory and hierarchy analysis method. On the basis of comparative evaluation the choice of more rational method is justified.
