The article shows the relevance of application of the educational environment as an element of management in the personal development processes under the conditions of social diversity. In the context of the research basing upon works of Russian and foreign sociologists the author defines such concepts as “resources" and “community", describes positive sides of social diversity in the Russian Federation, as well as considers the main areas and tasks of teachers’ activities, determined by this diversity.
