This article discusses Russian and theoretical approaches to the problem of personal life orientations. Life orientations are analyzed in the framework of the internal picture of life and in a behavioural context. As an integrating approach, we consider the approach of E. Yu. Korzhova "Subject-object orientation in life situations as a factor of the interconnection of the intrapsychical organization and the external world of a human". The article analyses the most developed approaches in the Russian science to the study of the life strategies associated with the development of the subject of life. It stresses the importance of the personal activity. It manifests in the way of change of the circumstances, direction the course of life, formation of life position. The dynamic of human life is not a random set of events, it depends on activity of a person, the ability to organize events in his/her life. The meaning of life as a dynamic meaning system unites all the meaning relations of a person with the various objects and phenomena of life's journey - from local events to the long periods of life, including individual life in its indissoluble integrity...
