Theoretical approach to the processes of digitalisation and digital transformation of business

The article analyses theoretical approaches to the processes of digitalisation and digital transformation at the enterprise level. The difference between the analysed concepts is underlined. The pyramid of digital transformation is considered and the main stages of digitalisation of business processes are described. The authors conclude that an enterprise that has decided on digital transformation should not only create a suitable organisational structure, determine ways of promoting digital technologies and methods of developing appropriate skills and competencies of employees, but also adjust the general corporate culture, which should also contribute to the introduction of digital technologies.
