The article deals with the issues of mathematical modeling of heat-exchange processes during air movement along an underground ventilation channel. In order to store agricultural products in storage facilities it is necessary to maintain a certain temperature and humidity regime. This issue can be solved only with cooling and air conditioning of the air in the storage. But storing agricultural products in storage facilities is costly and this is reflected in the cost of stored agricultural products. To solve this problem, it is necessary to develop optimal variants of storage facilities. These include the variant of underground storages belonging to the so- called "machine-less refrigerators", i.e. there is no refrigeration unit. Cooling of the storage facilityis carried out by means of cold accumulation in the ground massif surrounding the given storage facility. The characteristic time is embedded in the criteria Fo, the other values represent a complex of thermophysical characteristics of interacting media - soil and air, for each specific case it isnecessary to knowe- n Z f Fo . The use of mathematical modeling is more relevant forpractical study of this process and gives the most accurate results and obtained curves of dependence. This graph gives a clear picture of the change in supply air temperature as it moves in a single underground ventilation channel over time. It can serve as a guide for adjusting the parameters of outdoor air entering the storage facility after passing through the underground ventilation channel, provided that in the initial cross-section of the duct t0= const. Such similar schedules can be constructed at sites with specific outdoor air characteristics surrounding the ground mass channel at given underground ventilation channel sizes. Mathematical model (computer program) which is made at the required level describes the processes of heating and cooling of the ground massif and makes it possible to obtain the required scientific results depending on the input parameters of the outside air. This mathematical model can be improved with application of new scientific developments in the field of mathematical modeling and thermophysics and on the basis of systems of elements of automation gives the possibility of optimal use of accumulated cold in the object under study.
