Problem of using game technologies in teaching future hospitality specialists foreign languages topical for contemporary professional education is discussed. Concepts «intercultural interaction» and «pedagogical technology» are analyzed theoretically and methodologically. Philosophical, cultural and psychological aspects of the game and game playing as well as functions of game in human life are described. Some types of training games are briefly described: communication, role play, role imitation, and their advantages in foreign language learning are identified. Possibilities of using communication, role play, role imitation games in teaching future hospitality specialists foreign languages are proposed.
