Modern political processes in the global space draw attention of the public and government leaders to one of the most important and strategic areas of society development - education. The prospects of state development depend on its orientation, quality, efficiency, and mobility. The aim of the article is the analysis of the phenomenon of education in Russia taking into account the historical transformation of XX-XXI centuries.
