Theoretical and methodological bases of studying innovative activity of students

The authors considered theoretical and methodological approaches to the interpretation of the concepts of innovation and innovative activity in the theory of A.I. Prigozhin and N.I. Lapin. They attempted to refract the particularities of the views of these theoreticians to the study of students’ innovative activity. It is concluded that the innovative activity of students is characterized as productive and it has the formation of radical innovation without their subsequent commercialization as the goal of innovative activity.
