The development strategy of the national education at all historic periods adhered to the national guidelines and was part of the state policy. All the processes of reforming and modernizing the national education system were aligned with the formation of the state interests and approaches to their implementation in social policy. The teacher and his professional skills are at the same time one of the links in the whole process of socialization. Professional self-awareness of a teacher is a social and psychological factor in the implementation of state policy in the field of education. Professional pedagogical, psychological scientific literature presents the variety of vocationally-oriented characteristics of a teacher's image. The basis is their high standard of professionalism, degree of skill, the type of relationship with students. The process of formation of the education system and the image of a teacher in a society is complex and multifaceted, the variety of factors influence this process, such as social, historical, economic, psychological.
