On the basis of the use of theory of functional systems of PK Anokhin we are suggested the criterion of effectiveness of the introduction functional food ingredients in a functional human nutrition. It was shown that the conservation of biological constants in their physiological ranges is a reliable criterion for the effectiveness of functional foods.
