The theory and the methodology of the didactic principle of self-sufficiency

In this paper the necessity of formation of pupils and students self-sufficiency is substantiated. For this purpose the article authors are done the aim to include the conceptual principle of self-sufficiency into didactics, which must generally determine a vector of development of contemporary education. However, this principle needs to have a certain toolkit, which could be represented in the form of meaningful, normative and procedural didactic functions, which are enabling to technologize a process of formation and development of self-sufficiency during training pupils at a school and higher education institution. This article presents the normative and procedural functions of the suggested didactic principle.
