Theory and practice of personal security of police officers

This article focuses on the theory and practice of personal security, since the doctrinal statements of personal security differ slightly from the practical aspects of applying the skills, tactics and techniques that are required from a law enforcement officer in a criminal situation. The issue of personal security is quite acute not only in relation to citizens, but also in relation to law enforcement officers, since their lives are in danger on duty, which in practice is almost impossible to avoid. It is necessary to investigate the issues of factors endangering the life and health of a person in the process of performing his official duties not only from the standpoint of practice, but also theory, which is fully reflected in this article. Since law enforcement agencies are a state structure that ensures order and protects the safety of citizens, it is necessary to consider a police officer as an object most exposed to danger due to his professional activities.
