This article is devoted to the theory of the concept of a museum and communication within it. In order to maintain its important role in society, a museum has expanded the scope of its activities and changed the format of information communication to museum visitors. Back in 2006 Nina Simon, Executive Director of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History in California, in her blog began to talk about the emergence of such a concept as «Museum 2.0».
