Theory of labor migration

In the modern world an important factor of economic development becomes more increasing than number of the countries the labor migration promoting formation of flexible labor market, more rational use of human resources, interaction of economic subjects. In this context the research of processes of labor migration is relevant for any national economy including for the Russian economic processes. Ambiguity of interpretations of labor migration as economic category; definition of characteristics of migration processes complicate a comprehension of a problem of labor migration. Article is devoted to theoretical questions of labor migration. Special attention is paid on interpretation of the term “labor migration”. On the basis of the analysis of a number of researches the author allocates migration types. It should be noted that the standard classification of types of labor migration doesn’t exist. A number of authors allocates particular types of labor migration out of classification signs that gives rise to crossing of concepts. It is impossible to recognize other classifications as valid owing to the set of signs not always remaining uniform. The analysis of economic consequences of labor migration allowed to draw a conclusion on their multidirectional character. On the basis of it in article positive and negative economic corollaries of labor migration for the donor countries and the countries recipients are defined.
