The electrofluxed metal cost reduction can be achieved by means of getting cast consumable electrode using iron-rich pellets and ligature. Producing of the unit cast blank for ESR by method of casting into special molds is economical. In this work the authors provide calculation of the thermophysical processes taking place during the interaction of the iron-rich pellets and liquid ligature. The size factor is taken into account.
