Therapeutic remission of alcoholism in the indigenous population of Chukotka and its dependence on the personal characteristics of the patient

The course of a study conducted in Chukotka in the period from 2014 to 2018, related to the observation of patients undergoing a short-term rehabilitation program using the method of Ya. Marshak, is described. The relationship between the duration of therapeutic remission in alcoholism patients of the indigenous population of Chukotka and their personal characteristics is shown. It was found that therapeutic remission is the longest (4 years) with low indicators of the need to search for thrills, volitional self-regulation, perseverance, locus of control-I. The individual psychological characteristics of the patient affecting the duration of remission were revealed.
