Identification the teratogenic factors is the main task of population monitoring. All-population level of the congenital malformations (CM) in the territory of Samara oblast makes 2,6%. We analyzed outcomes of 463 pregnancies of women with epilepsy. 3,7% of CM, including caused by gene and chromosomal pathology, are revealed. The risk of CM emergence of fetus among women without treatment made 0,6%, against reception of antiepileptic drugs (AED) during pregnancy - 5,2%, was the highest against reception of valproic acid - 7,8%. To seven mothers of children with CM the folate cycle genes typing of MTHFR, MTRR, MTR, SLC19A1 is carried out, at 6 from them combinations of mutant polymorphic options 3-4 of genes are found. Research showed that at women with epilepsy mechanisms of CM emergence of a fetus are various and difficult, reception of AED from which is only one of possible factors.
