The term "information" as a subject of semantic analysis

This article discusses issues related to the term “information” and its interpretation in various branches of scientific knowledge. On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of their (questions) of an etymological nature, the author substantiates his vision of the most acceptable variant of their semantic explanation, which can contribute to the search for effective methods of demanding information from their potential owners (carriers), including in order to identify, investigation and detection of crimes.
